Maintenance Fitter – Multiple Shift Patterns (Food Manufacturing)

A global leader in food manufacturing with a robust presence in Australia is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their high-performing team at their advanced production facility in West Melbourne.
With multiple shift patterns available (day, afternoon, and night), this is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a highly automated setting where you’ll play a key role in ensuring plant reliability, safety, and minimising production downtime.

What You’ll Be Doing
Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance and responding to reactive breakdowns across a range of mechanical equipment
Fault finding and repairs on conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, and other automated plant systems
Supporting machinery upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborating with production and fellow trades to optimise performance and uptime
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and adhering to strict safety and quality standards
What We’re Looking For
Qualified Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III or equivalent)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in quick-paced manufacturing or FMCG environments
Strong mechanical fault-finding ability and confidence working autonomously
Experience with automated machinery and continuous processing systems
A proactive team player with a strong safety focus and solid communication skills
Ability to work on a permanent shift pattern (day/afternoon/night)
