Overview
Join Toowoomba Regional Council as a Planner to support strategic planning, special projects, and community engagement in a thriving regional hub.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Contribute to the delivery of special projects, including the current Toowoomba Region Planning Scheme.
- Contribute to strategic advocacy activities.
- Review development proposals and provide strategic planning advice.
- Respond to strategic planning enquiries.
- Undertake research and provide advice on general planning matters.
- Undertake community and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Prepare presentations, reports and recommendations.
- Provide advice and contribute to projects in line with the Queensland planning framework and local and regional planning policies.
- Work collaboratively alongside a passionate, multidisciplinary team committed to regional betterment and addressing Council’s strategic priorities.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Planning Institute of Australia recognised degree in Urban and Regional Planning or a related field.
- Membership, or eligibility for membership of the Planning Institute of Australia.
- Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
- Understanding of and commitment to Council’s Organisational Value and Behaviour of Teamwork.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range:
$78,987.59 - $98,910.82 gross per annum.
- 17.5% annual leave loading.
- Up to 12.65% superannuation.
