Position: Full Time Permanent Chef

salary: $76,515-$78,000

Qualification: AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)

Responsibiliteis:

• Planning and organising the preparation and cooking of food items to meet café menu standards

• Creating, developing, and refining recipes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation

• Monitoring food quality during preparation and service to ensure high standards are maintained

• Supervising and coordinating kitchen operations and staff during service times

• Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment to ensure proper cooking

• Ensuring food is prepared efficiently and within time constraints, particularly during peak hours

• Managing food portion sizes and presentation according to menu specifications

• Overseeing food storage practices, including temperature control and hygiene compliance





• Ordering and managing inventory of food supplies to minimise waste and control costs

• Training and mentoring kitchen staff, including cooks and kitchen hands, to maintain consistency

• Ensuring the kitchen complies with health, hygiene, and safety regulations at all times

• Adjusting menus and recipes to cater to customer dietary requirements and seasonal availability

• Collaborating with management for menu planning, costing, and customer satisfaction feedback
