Overview
Inner West Council is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our Early Learning team as an Early Learning Assistant Trainee . This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about nurturing childrens growth and development in a dynamic, supportive environment.
You will play a vital role in providing quality care and contributing to the smooth operation of our early learning centre while gaining valuable experience in childcare. As part of this 12-month supported program , you will receive continuous assistance and guidance throughout your journey.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare and Support
Provide quality, nurturing care and support to children.
Assist the team in creating a vibrant learning setting through educational activities that foster childrens growth and development.
Contribute to the cleanliness, organisation, and general maintenance of the workplace.
Ensure equipment and resources are respected, well-maintained, and preserved.
Skilled Conduct and Development
Maintain ethical and professional behaviour at all times.
Participate in professional development opportunities within Inner West Council and the Early Childhood sector to enhance skills and knowledge.
Administrative Support
Undertake general administrative tasks and assist the team as required.
Selection Criteria
Education and Training
Currently studying or willing to study a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education .
Willingness to obtain a First Aid Certificate , Working with Children Check , and any other centre-specific checks.
Skills and Attributes
Genuine passion for caring for children and supporting their families.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating organisational skills and reliability.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards.
