Z & J Pty Ltd T/As Hana’s Grill is a popular local dining spot known for fresh ingredients, great flavours, and warm hospitality. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team and help us continue delivering high-quality dishes to our valued customers. Key Responsibilities

Plan and prepare menu items, ensuring high-quality presentation and consistency Examine and evaluate food quality, portion size, and presentation before dishes are served Monitor and enforce safe and hygienic food handling, storage, and preparation practices

Oversee and coordinate the preparation and cooking of food across kitchen sections Plan and manage kitchen operations including workload distribution and workflow Estimate food requirements and assist with ordering and managing stock and supplies

Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, safety,



and service standards Develop, test, and modify recipes to maintain and improve menu offerings Maintain cost control measures, including portion control and minimising waste

Skills & Experience Required Relevant qualification with Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen Strong culinary skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team

Thorough understanding of food safety standards and kitchen operations Strong organisational and time-management skills Passion for high-quality food and customer satisfaction

What We Offer Market-competitive salary of $73,000 – $80,000 + superannuation

Stable full-time role (minimum 38 hours per week) Supportive team environment Opportunity to contribute to a growing and respected local venue
