The Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill is located on the central city fringe, just minutes from the CBD, Brisbane River, Suncorp Stadium and public transport. Overlooking the city skyline and Roma St Parklands, the Hotel features 179 spacious guest rooms with generous open-aired balconies, contemporary amenities, an outdoor swimming pool, fitness room, and an alfresco-style restaurant and bar.
Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and detail-driven Housekeeping Team Leader to support the daily operations of our housekeeping department and uphold the high standards Accor is known for.
As the Housekeeping Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring our rooms and public areas are presented at their absolute best. You’ll supervise and motivate the housekeeping team, coordinate daily tasks, train new team members, and lead by example on the floor. Your focus on service, cleanliness, and efficiency will directly contribute to guest satisfaction.
- Supervise the housekeeping team throughout daily operations.
- Allocate room and task assignments; ensure all work is completed to Accor brand standards.
- Conduct room inspections, ensuring cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance issues are addressed.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work workplace, following Accor and workplace health & safety guidelines.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and ensure exceptional service.
- Lead by example on the floor, stepping into operational cleaning duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel environment is essential; leadership experience highly regarded.
- Strong eye for detail and a passion for delivering high standards.
- Ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
- Knowledge of Accor or similar brand standards is an advantage.
