About Newcastle Master Builders Apprentices:
Newcastle MBA offers a pathway for individuals interested in obtaining full-time employment in a high demand trade while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
Newcastle MBA will be your Employer for the duration of your Apprenticeship to handle everything administration wise and provide support and guidance while you're gaining on the job skills with a valued Host Employer.
- Receive accurate and timely payments - MBA processes your weekly pay, superannuation, etc.
- Job Security - If your Host Employer runs low in work, MBA will attempt to find another Host Employer in order for you to continue and complete your Apprenticeship.
- Learn from and be mentored by industry experts.
- Don't pay, get paid - TAFE Fees are covered and TAFE textbook costs are reimbursed to you.
- Receive personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout your Apprenticeship (Steel-Cap Boots, Hard Hat, Gloves, Hat, Vest, etc).
- Toolbox and basic toolkit provided on your induction day.
- Receive dedicated support from our Field Officers throughout your Apprenticeship.
About the Host Employer/Role:
Our Host Employer is a local Roofing company servicing Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Hunter Valley and Central Coast. They specialise in small to medium sized construction projects such as alterations and additions, commercial roof replacements and installations.
They're looking for hardworking Apprentices with a strong work ethic to join their team in January 2026!
You will gain an understanding and develop a large range of skills such as, installing fascia, gutter, leaf guard, downpipes, metal roofing and scaffold systems, measurements, problem solving and communication. You will also learn to work collaboratively with the team to ensure efficient project completion.
Desired Qualities:
- A strong desire to learn and grow in the field of Roofing.
- Commitment to completing a 4-year Apprenticeship (TAFE studies and onsite skills - Certificate III in Roof Plumbing).
- Find fulfilment in practical and hands-on tasks.
- Honest, hardworking, reliable and able to follow instructions.
- Demonstrates robust communication skills with the capability to ask questions when needed.
- Holds a current drivers licence or has reliable transportation to and from local job sites.
- White card or willing to obtain prior to starting.
