What Your Training Will Look Like
As a trainee nurse, you will be guided through structured learning, hands‑on skills development and ongoing mentoring. You will learn and assist with:
- Handling and caring for hospitalised patients
- Preparing patients for surgery
- Reception duties and customer service
- Basic radiology and pathology assistance
- Maintaining hospital cleanliness and infection control
- Developing fundamental nursing skills across all areas of general practice
What We’re Looking For
- A robust interest in pursuing Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through a registered training organisation
- A positive attitude and work ethic
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Strong communication skills and teamwork
- Kindness, empathy and a genuine passion for animals
- Reliability as a worker
- Enthusiasm for developing your veterinary career

- Trainee pay rate of $18.24 - $28.05
