Job Description
NeuroRehab EP role:
As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist within our practice, you will be responsible for delivering EP services of the highest quality within our custom-built clinics and within the community.
Your role as a NeuroRehab Exercise Physiologist is to conduct assessments to ascertain a client’s needs and then actively work toward achieving their individual goals.
We are open to supporting an early career therapist to develop the skills required to manage what can be complex presentations, with the added benefit of regular supervision and mentoring from a Senior Exercise Physiologist.
NeuroRehab clients:
Our clients are predominantly NDIS participants along with some TAC and My Aged Care funded clients. Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease and Cerebral Palsy, are some of the more common conditions our clientele present with.
While we accept referrals in all age categories from young people through to the elderly, we are selective with the referrals we accept, providing services primarily to those with a neurological condition however this often comes hand in hand with some chronic disease management.
We are ideally seeking applications with 10 – 30 hours per week availability. The role will be mainly based in Deer Park and Werribee, however, some days in our Thomastown clinic/community will be required.
Desired Skills and Experience
Requirements
- Current registration with ESSA as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist
- A passion for working with the neurological population
- Driver's license
- Up to date with Covid-19 and influenza vaccination status
- Minimum 1 year + experience as AEP
- Access to a reliable vehicle for work-related travel
Desirable
- Experience working with compensable / NDIS clients
