About the Role – Duty Manager (Adelaide | Walkerville)
We are seeking a vibrant, confident, and motivated Duty Manager to join our Sussex Hotel team.
This role is offered on a casual basis (20–30 hours per week) with a rotating 7-day roster, including nights and weekends.
You will:
- Deliver outstanding customer service across bar, bistro, and gaming
- Lead and support the team during service
- Maintain compliance with all liquor,
gaming and WHS requirements
- Ensure accuracy in cash handling, procedures, and reporting
- Help create the warm, welcoming setting Sussex is known for
About You – What You Bring
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 2 years’ hospitality experience (supervisory preferred)
- Gaming experience (essential)
- Strong knowledge of SA liquor legislation
- A friendly, approachable and professional demeanour
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Trustworthy, organised and confident in leading shifts
Essential Qualifications:
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
- Responsible Person Badge (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic Gaming + Advanced Gaming Certificates
- TAB experience (advantage but not essential)
Additional Skills:
- Accurate cash handling
- Understanding of food safety & WHS requirements
- Basic food-handling experience
