An immediate start for the successful Embroidery Machine Operator to join our friendly team with great hours & above award pay rates.
FanFave based at Molendinar on the Gold Coast have a solid foundation with a national customer base and will continue to exceed planned growth. We are looking for a reliable, motivated, driven Embroiderer to join our team.
Qualifications & experience
- Basic computer knowledge.
- FanFave are looking for a experienced full-time embroidery / heat press machine operator to join their growing team using 1,2, 4 & 6 head Barudan embroidery machines and 2 heat press machines
- Heat press machine experience is preferred but training will be provided for the right candidate
About Us:
FanFave produce quality, contemporary fan-wear and gear for the horse racing industry and its participants. In addition, FanFave supply a select range of workwear, PPE, Embroidery and Heat/Screen-printing services to Local, State, National and International clients.
FanFave are in Molendinar, Gold Coast with easy access to Smith Street Motorway which lead to the M1. There is plenty of off and on- street parking for employees to utilise. The embroidery room is airconditioned for employee comfort.
Main Duties and Tasks:
The successful applicant's main duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Prepare machines for garments, which includes loading digitised designs into machine network,
manual thread colour changes and needle changes as and when required
- Prepare garments for machine, which includes hooping mechanisms and backing placement
- Trimming, folding and re-packing garments once embroidered or pressed
- Keeping track of work orders and updating records
- Respond to machinery breakdowns or garment upsets and restore machinery as quickly as possible to minimise downtime
- Basic maintenance and upkeep of embroidery / heat press machines
- Able to read and understand work orders to determine type and location of embroidery
- Performing regular machine and inventory inspections and reporting any issues or reordering stock as required
- Assist work colleague(s) with clothing embroidery
- You will be provided with a work uniform along with the appropriate Safety/PPE as deemed by management.
- Pick clothing from Warehouse may be required from time to time
About You
- Must be reliable and genuinely motivated to work.
- Must have a reliable source of transport
- Previous commercial embroidery experience with either Barudan or Tajima machines.
- Minimum of 3+ years of commercial embroidery machine experience is required
- It is essential that the successful applicant(s) are deadline focused and have a strong attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills and be
- Able to multitask to maximise productivity levels.
- Southeast Queensland based I.e. Brisbane – the NSW border.
- FanFave will not be sponsoring any International applicants or those already here on Visas.
Pay Rate:
$69,160.00 per year depending on experience
