Your New Role The classroom teacher has a major Educational influence on student achievements and plays a key role of facilitating effective learning and teaching.

The first function of the classroom teacher is to be an effective member of a collaborative team of colleagues who work to put student learning and wellbeing first.

Essential Criteria

- Accreditation to teach RE in the Wagga Wagga Diocese (or willingness to obtain) and a commitment to the Catholic Faith.

- An effective classroom practitioner with a strong knowledge of the K‑6 curriculum and contemporary pedagogy.

- Evidence of quality assessment practices and reflective use of data in response to student needs.

- Ability to incorporate research informed behaviour management strategies that promote a positive classroom environment.





- Proven ability to implement effective strategies and differentiated programmes to enhance the wellbeing of a diverse range of learners including students with additional needs.

- Ability to build positive relationships and work collaboratively in a team environment with Parish, parents, staff, students, willingly contributing to the wider community.

- NSW Working with Children Check.

- Current First Aid qualifications or willingness to obtain.

- Accreditation for Teachers in a Catholic School (Category D, Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or willing to achieve.

- NSW NESA Accreditation.
