Experienced Loader Operators: Be Home Every Night in Mackay
Are you an accomplished loader operator with a strong background in civil construction? Mackay Regional Council invites you to bring your expertise to our Civil Operations team, where your skills will directly impact the maintenance and development of roads, drainage, and vital infrastructure across the Mackay region.
About this opportunity:
As an Operator Loader, you will:
- Operate a range of civil construction equipment: loaders, trucks, backhoes, rollers, and skid steers.
- Lead hands‑on work in road and drainage maintenance, earthworks, concrete, pipelaying, bitumen, and vegetation management.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Licences & Competencies: Valid tickets for loader, backhoe, roller, and skid steer operation.
- Safety First: Current General Construction Safety "White" Card.
- Heavy Vehicle Experience: QLD Heavy Rigid Truck 'HR' Class Licence (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Traffic Management: Traffic Controllers Ticket (or willingness to obtain).
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience operating plant and driving trucks in diverse road conditions.
- Civil Construction Expertise: Extensive hands‑on experience in civil infrastructure projects.
