On behalf of our client, Educoe Pty Ltd, we are seeking a full-time Early Childhood Teacher with a relevant bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Reporting
To The successful applicant will report to the Director. Working week 38 hours per week minimum.
The typical job responsibilities will include,
but are not limited to the following:
- Promote and integrate children’s rights as outlined in UNCRC into everyday learning practices
- Foster and strengthen positive relationships between children, peers, educators, families, and the broader Bidjigal community
- Design activities and provide guidance that help children develop a sense of responsibility for both their personal actions and the world around them
- Implement strategies and activities aimed at strengthening children’s life skills, including language development, self-regulation, and executive function
- Contribute to the program, and ensure Educoe’s philosophy and curriculum on rights, responsibilities, relationships and skills
- Engage in goal setting with each child’s parents/guardians
- Complete life skills assessment with each child’ parents/guardians
- If needed, complete:
-Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ), -Sensory Processing Measure 2 (SPM-2) and/or -BeYou’s BETLS (Behaviour, Emotions, Thoughts, Learning and Social Relationships)
- Complete responsive approach and critical reflection for every child
- Contribute to the newsletter and ensure that it captures:
-the program focus as it relates with the curriculum -educators’ critical reflection regarding what supported their provision of play experiences for the children (e.g. theories/ research/philosophies)
-future plan -invitation to families and the Bidjigal community
- Complete all team responsibility checklists and safety checklists to ensure the children are protected from harm and hazards
- Contribute to Educoe’s Ubuntu, ethically connecting with staff members as a critical friend
- collaborating, reflecting, challenging, and learning from each other to support every child and staff member’s wellbeing
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication with children, families, and colleagues.
- Effective observation and assessment skills to identify children’s learning and development needs.
- Ability to prepare clear educational documentation and critical reflections.
- Professional, empathetic approach when handling sensitive conversations with families.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new pedagogical practices, tools, and technologies.
- Creativity in designing play-based learning experiences that support holistic development.
- Flexibility and resilience in fast-paced early childhood environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with strong initiative.
- High attention to detail in planning, assessments, and compliance tasks.
