The Role:
Our client is seeking an ambitious Intermediate or Senior Accountant, keen/open to a pathway to Partner one of the job locations with accounting practices across NSW and QLD and flexible office locations to work.
The right candidate will exhibit accounting ambition, a strong work ethic and commercial acumen which will be both recognised and rewarded.
Office locations available in Newcastle, Balgowlah and Dee Why.
About You
You have excellent skills with accounting, a real passion for pinpoint accuracy and ability to identifying meaningful details.
Possessing people skills to work as part of a tight-knit team, business partner with internal and external stakeholders, and the self-motivation to work independently.
You understand the importance of deadlines, and your excellent communication skills let you explain financial concepts to colleagues that may not have as much of an accounting background.
Key Responsibilities:
Be comfortable working with leadership and being exposed to key decisions being made
Look to collaborate across the entire company but understand the importance of autonomous work
You will prepare financial statements and tax returns for all group members (trusts, companies & individuals), whilst also preparing business advice, such as tax planning.




You must be results driven, process and efficiency-minded, and have the same level of care for their clients that the rest of their team has.
Manage your own workflow.
Although you will not have to manage any staff directly, you will have the ability to delegate work to other team members to ensure your workload is appropriate for your high skill level.
Work hard at the usual deadline driven times of the year, but why not work hard and feel rewarded – by both the staff and the clients?

Key Requirements:
CA/CPA qualified (or working towards) with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Degree qualified in Commerce, Business, or related field.
3+ years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping or audit or business advisory services (ideally within a chartered accounting environment)
Be a strong team player
Be highly motivated with a strong desire to succeed
Advanced MS Excel skills and data manipulation
Ability to multi-task and attention to detail are critical
Ability to develop relationships across areas of the business and externally with business partners
Forward-thinking mindset in general accounting and administration support.

Competitive Salary of up to $85,000 (for Intermediate) and $110,000 (for Senior) + Super (based on experience)
