As Tree Management Officer, you will be responsible for the administration of Council’s tree management strategies for both public and private trees. This role is key to ensuring our urban canopy is healthy, safe and well‑managed, and that our community receives efficient, high‑quality service.
In this role, you will assess Tree Permit Applications and Development Applications, conduct inspections, manage tree‑related risks, and provide expert arboriculture advice to internal teams and the community. You will also contribute to policy development, manage Council's tree planting programme, and help shape the future of Burwood’s green landscape.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- AQF Level 5 in Arboriculture
- Advanced certificate in Horticulture or equivalent (AQF Level 4)
- NSW C Class driver’s licence
- NSW General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
Key Requirement: Willingness to complete pre‑employment screening which may include a pre‑employment medical examination and police check.
