Key skills required
We’re looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience in providing a safe, caring, non-judgmental and supportive environment for children, families, and staff.
- Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability in Behaviour Guidance.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement the full ‘cycle of planning’ that incorporates an educational child centered program, reflective of the Early Years Learning Framework and a willingness to learn conceptual framework.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain written records, such as observations, evaluations, and programs.
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework,
relevant Government Acts and regulations, and the ECA Code of Ethics and the rights of the child.
- Open to Professional development and training to learn the Billy Button way.
- Demonstrated experience in leading a small team
- Demonstrated ability in leadership
Qualifications and education requirements
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (or higher)
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Current Driver’s License
- Current First Aid Certificate including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
- Current CPR certificate
- Current Child Protection Certificate
- Current National Police Check
