Requires: Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent experience + PR or Australian citizenship
Salary guide: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour.
Location: Bayside, Vic.
This role gives you solid diagnostic exposure, including:
Pre-alignment checks to triage structural issues
Fault finding using advanced scan tools
Identifying and fixing root causes beyond part swapping
Repairs on stolen-recovered vehicles
Reconditioning components — not just replacing them
We don’t expect you to be a diagnostic expert on day one.

What You’ll Be Doing Daily
Hands-on diagnosis and repair of accident-damaged vehicles — not just oil changes. Your tasks will include:
Triage and diagnosis of mechanical faults
Suspension, steering, cooling,
and chassis repairs
Dash and airbag removal, cross-member work
Wheel alignments and road tests
Logbook servicing and safety inspections
Recording jobs in iBodyShop
You’ll work in a well-equipped, productive workshop with no customer phone work — so you can stay focused on the cars.

What You Need to Bring
Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
Solid diagnostic / fault-finding experience
Competence across various makes and models
A solid work ethic and reliability Australian work rights and a valid driver’s licence
