Join Tucker Fresh IGA as our People & Culture Coordinator; a flexible, hands-on role supporting our People & Culture team.
At Tucker Fresh IGA, we're proud to support our local communities and deliver fresh, quality produce. With 12 stores across the Perth metro area and a Support Office in Belmont, we're looking for an experienced People & Culture Coordinator to assist with the everyday running of our HR and payroll functions.
This is a 20 hours per week part-time role with coverage ideally Monday to Friday, perfect for solid operational HR seeking school-hour flexibility and a stable, supportive workplace.
About the Role
In this role, you'll support the People & Culture Manager and work closely with our store teams to ensure smooth and compliant HR operations. You'll be assisting with a variety of day-to-day tasks across the employee lifecycle, with a focus on:
- Onboarding: Responsible for the fast paced high volume weekly onboarding of staff.
- HR Support: Helping respond to employee and manager enquiries, providing practical, policy-based guidance where needed.
- Payroll Assistance: Checking and verifying payroll queries for accuracy and compliance.
- Updating employee information and maintaining payroll records.
- HR Administration: Supporting with contracts, letters, documentation, and maintaining accurate employee records.
- Employee Relations: Assisting the P&C; Manager with documentation and coordination of employee relations matters.
- Compliance: Helping ensure visa checks, award compliance, and HR policies are up to date.
About You
You're a fast paced,
organised and reliable HR skilled who enjoys supporting others and keeping things running smoothly. You'll bring:
- Experience in HR coordination, administration, or generalist roles.
- Experience assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes.
- An understanding of HR policies, payroll, and awards (especially the General Retail Award).
- Working knowledge of the General Retail Award including practical application to payroll and compliance requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, clear communication, and great time management.
- Experience with Tanda or similar systems (desirable).
- Exposure to payroll or high volume onboarding (preferred).
- Australian citizenship is required for this position.
