About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sonographer to join our growing Campbelltown team. You will perform high-quality ultrasound examinations across a range of clinical areas while working collaboratively with Radiologists and other imaging professionals. This is a patient-focused role that requires solid technical ability, attention to detail and a commitment to clinical safety.
Essential Requirements
- Post-Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound
- Minimum 2000 hours of scanning experience
- ASAR accreditation with ongoing CPD
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and manage the physical demands of scanning
- Proficiency in ultrasound equipment, RIS, PACS and basic computer systems
- High attention to detail with consistently accurate documentation
- Team-focused mindset and a commitment to exceptional patient care
- Reliable attendance and adherence to organisational policies and protocols

Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in line with clinical requests and accepted protocols
- Review prior imaging and verify patient details using a rigorous safety check process
- Explain procedures clearly, obtain consent, and collect additional clinical history as needed
- Produce accurate, high-quality images using equipment from multiple vendors
- Adapt techniques to patient needs, clinical findings, and real-time results
- Complete worksheets thoroughly and ensure all documentation is neat, legible and accurate
- Upload images and documentation to PACS/RIS and upscale significant findings to Radiologists
- Maintain strict infection control, manual-handling and room disinfection procedures
- Contribute to efficient workflow by managing appointment times and unexpected patient additions
- Uphold patient confidentiality and professional communication at all times
- Participate in ongoing CPD, training, and team meetings
