Join our team at SGA! We are a family run business based in Bayswater and an awesome prospect is currently available for various positions within our team, ready for an immediate start. We specialize in asphalt laying, transport and haulage, airport runway grooving, mechanical servicing & repairs, line marking, project management and plant & equipment hire. The Role We are looking for experienced and reliable Asphalt Operators (Paving Plant Operators). Responsibilities:
- Carry out work in a safe manner and be responsible for the quality of your work.
- Carry out such duties as are within the limits of your skill, competence and training as directed by the employer.
- As an Asphalt Operator, your role will include operating a combination of the following equipment / machinery:
- Paving Plant
- Rollers (steel and multi).
- Tack Trucks
- Pocket Rocket (W500) milling machine.
- Skid steer
- Operate spray seal equipment.
- Deliver a first-class service to our customers.
- Ensure compliance with statutory OHS&E; requirements, including but limited to prestart checks on machinery/ trucks, immediate reporting of incidents and/ or damage etc.
Experience and Skill set:
- Proven experience working with asphalt – at least 1 year experience.
- A white card or able to apply for a White Card.
- Industry tickets for paving and utilizing the above-mentioned equipment but all applications are considered
- Has a positive attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and environmental sustainability.
Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 annually
