An exciting opportunity exists for suitably qualified Solar PV and Battery inspectors to join our professional team in Sydney, Newcastle and surrounding regions in NSW.
About the role
As a Solar Electrical Inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out on-site PV and Battery Solar audits to determine if the system was installed in line with the relevant Australian Standards, Installation Guidelines and State Regulator requirements. Inspections must be safely, accurately and thoroughly conducted by;
- Accessing and inspecting the rooftop PV Array and/or Battery installation and components
- Accessing and inspecting the in-ceiling cabling and conduit work
- Testing and inspection of Switchboard and all other electrical components.
- Submitting required audit information and photos via a Web Portal and Auditing Platform
- Completing the audit and required reporting in a timely manner.
The successful applicant will possess the following:
- A Grade Electrical Licence
- SAA Solar Accreditation for Grid connected PV Systems and Battery Storage Systems for Grid-Connected PV Systems Design & Install
- Clean Energy Regulator Accreditation (preferred)
- Valid driver’s licence
- Current Working at Heights
- High Risk Work License (EWP)
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current First Aid and CPR qualification
- Public and Products Liability Insurance
- Work Cover/Income Protection Insurance
- Comprehensive MV Insurance
Skills & experience:
- Must be experienced with PV and Battery Installations
- A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Australian Standards pertaining to PV and Battery Installations
- The ability to follow process and procedures correctly
- A robust awareness of OH&S; work practices
- Comprehensive skills in the use of technology such as tablets and software/reporting systems
- Exceptional customer service skills
