Your Role:
As a Cook/Kitchen Hand, you will play an important part in delivering high-quality meals and creating a warm, homelike dining experience for our residents. Working as part of our hospitality team, you’ll support daily kitchen operations, assist with food preparation, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Guided by our values, you’ll help enrich the lives of residents through nutritious meals, friendly service, and genuine care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present nutritious and appealing meals in line with dietary requirements
- Assist the Chef with food preparation, cleaning, and general kitchen duties
- Serve and distribute meals to residents and provide dining room service
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and dining areas
- Accurately complete food safety and cleaning documentation
- Follow safe food handling procedures and infection control practices

Our Home:
Our 63-room aged care home offers a warm, professional, and well-maintained setting for both residents and staff. Resthaven is thoughtfully designed to support quality care delivery. Staff enjoy working in a purpose-built setting featuring bay windows, garden views, and modern amenities including individually controlled air-conditioning. The home also features spacious communal lounge and dining areas, supporting a collaborative and comfortable workplace.
To Be Successful You Will Need:
- NDIS Worker Clearance – MANDATORY
- Valid working rights in Australia – MANDATORY
- Hospitality or Customer Service experience in a fast-paced environment
- A passion for delivering a person-centred approach to care
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Compassionate and Empathetic nature.
