About the role
Ventia is seeking a qualified Refrigeration Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems across the Defence facilities.
Key responsibilities
- Reactive and preventative maintenance on air conditioning and compressor units
- Repairs, maintenance, and installations of plant & equipment
- Fault finding and refurbishment works
- Brake line maintenance and repairs
- Installation of PCB's (Printed Circuit Boards)
- Effectively communicate with customers to support other trades people
About you
- Proven experience in a Commercial/Industrial environment
- Hold a current Refrigeration Mechanic trade qualification & Refrigerant Handling License (RAC)
- Hold a current Restricted electrical licence
- Hold a current LVR and CPR (1-year validity)
- Hold a White Card
- Respectful and inclusive approach to working with diverse communities
- Hold a current Australian Driver's License & own transport to drive across sites
- You take pride in delivering high-quality work safely and reliably. You follow established procedures, actively look out for your teammates, and understand that safety is a shared responsibility. You contribute to a culture where safety incidents, near misses, and hazards are reported promptly and constructively.
- Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance.
As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police
