We do this through work in three key areas: cancer research, cancer prevention and early detection, and cancer support services.

About the Role

The Women’s Connect Program, proudly funded by Queensland Health, brings Queensland women and non‑binary people together to connect with others who have a deep understanding of what it’s like to live with cancer. As Facilitator , you will be responsible for establishing, developing and facilitating the Women’s Connect program pilot, co‑facilitating group and peer‑led psychosocial supports and assisting our Research and Internal Project Team with the co‑design and evaluation of the program.

You will ensure that the program is accessible, culturally safe, and responsive to the diverse needs and lived experiences of priority populations, including

- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- People from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- LGBTQIA+ people
- People with disability
- People living in regional, rural and remote communities

This role is a permanent part‑time position (22 hours per week – negotiable) and can be based in Toowoomba or Brisbane.

- Understanding of peer work, ability to use lived experience appropriately, and experience coordinating and facilitating community peer support programs.
- Experience in program development including program design, needs analysis, stakeholder consultation and program evaluation.
- A lived experience with cancer and willingness to share it appropriately.

Applicants from priority populations or with strong connections to any priority populations – Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally & linguistically diverse communities, people with disability, LGBTQIA+ people, and rural & remote communities – are strongly encouraged.
