Your Current Role
At Xavier Catholic College a Classroom Teacher is expected to work collaboratively and positively with their colleagues, to assist in the implementation of a shared vision for continual school improvement.
This role is in alignment with the Australian Professional Standards for teachers and as such all teachers will be able to clearly demonstrate the standard descriptors within their specific teaching context at their stage of expertise and reflect the learning requirements of their students.

Selection Criteria
Essential
- A commitment to the Catholic values, traditions and goals of Catholic Education
- A passion for teaching and working with students
- Exemplary practice as a classroom teacher with expertise in one or more KLA areas
- Outstanding written and oral communication and interpersonal skills to engage with all stakeholders
- A positive engagement in our collaborative culture which supports the school's vision and mission
- Effective time management and organisational skills
- Flexible delivery of a differentiated curriculum which is responsive and inclusive of diverse student needs
- A willingness to engage in professional learning to improve professional practice
- A relevant teaching degree such as a Bachelor of Teaching or similar Bachelor Degree with Graduate Diploma of Education
- Relevant Qualifications/Experience in a Key Learning Area
- NSW Working with Children Check
- NSW NESA Accreditation
- Accreditation for Teachers in a Catholic School (Category B, Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools, Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or willing to achieve.
Desirable
- Experience in teaching in NSW schools
- Experience in teaching in Senior Classes
- Masters of Education
- An ability or willingness to teach Religious Education
- Current Drivers Licence
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
