Job Description

Griffith Health are excited to share a fixed-term/secondment opportunity for the role of Placement Officer for the Commonwealth-funded project, Mental Health Pathways to Practice Program Pilot. This position commences as soon as possible and will end with the completion of the project funding period on 27 November 2026.

The Placement officer position is a full-time opportunity based at the Gold Coast, supporting the Social Work and Occupational Therapy disciplines to deliver the placement innovation in Mental Health. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will undertake a range of administrative tasks to support the team to deliver and measure the placement activities relating to the project.

The role will be part of the Mental Health Pathways to Practice Program team, under the direction of the Project Manager, working closely with academic staff from the Occupational Therapy and Social Work disciplines, the Discipline Leads, and Placement and Partnerships Team Leader.

About you
We are seeking a team member who is motivated, highly organised and experienced administrators/placement officers who thrive in a dynamic work environment. Ability to work in a team, high attention to detail,



and intermediate to advanced software skills are required. Placement experience would be beneficial.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Providing administrative support for student placement including the allocation, coordination, and management of placement programs.

- Coordinating the design of robust processes utilising Sonia and other available software to meet the specific program outcome requirements and reporting.

- Assisting with the assessment of student eligibility for scholarships associated with the program pilot.

- Supporting the academic staff in capacity building of placements in Mental Health and supporting the ongoing relationships with industry partners.

- Coordinating the establishment and administration of placement agreements as needed.

- Attending meetings of relevance to the role, including placement officer meetings at the School and Health Group, discipline-specific meetings for OT and Social Work, and project meetings.

Salary range
The full-time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 5 range $79,705 - $89,416 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $93,255 - $104,617 per annum.
