About the role – Chief of Staff (CoS)
As Chief of Staff, you will report into the Market MD. This role will have the prospect to drive strategy and execution across ANZ and work with our SLT within ANZ and across the company to enable business outcomes to be met. This position requires strong cross-functional collaboration at all levels, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strategy, articulate objectives, and drive execution.
The Chief of Staff will provide the MD/ Senior Leadership team with strategic thought leadership, business planning leadership, operational rigor, participate in overall strategy discussions, lead key strategic initiatives and/or, and facilitate business execution.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Business Strategy & Operations
- Serve as a trusted advisor and brainstorming partner to the Market MD and the SLT. Thinks strategically while providing tactical support to implement ideas.
- Represent MD on the MOR calls and other strategic initiatives as required.
- The Chief of Staff(COS) will drive transformation and strategic big bets to enable ANZ to achieve its key targets.
- The COS will work with MD & the SLT on setting & executing the market share targets for ANZ.
- The COS will have the strategic ownership for programs related to Alliances, Compliance, Competition strategy & VIA coordination for ANZ.
- Serve as an owner for Opex coordination & deployment in partnership with CFO / HR.
- Set up a governance framework for Trailblazer/WILL Action Learning Projects (ALPs)and ensure they contribute to revenue/margin/OP/market share growth.
- Manage/nurture the Talent Academy initiative in partnership with HR.
- Work with leadership to deliver, monitor and communicate progress on Digital Transformation, MBOs and sustainability initiatives across ANZ.
- Use data and insights to enable the organization to operate effectively.
Leader and Leadership Team Enablement
- Lead the overall planning and execution of SLT staff meetings and operations including bi-weekly huddles, MORs, QBRs, quarterly F2F, AEMs, MBOs/metrics management, and staff engagement.
- Plans and directs all administrative, financial and operational activities for the Market MD, prioritizes critical issues and required information to facilitate efficient decision making.
- Drive preparation and achieve outcomes for leader meetings, presentations, and internal/external engagement.
- Responsible for internal/external communications strategy, planning and calendar of activities.
- Analyse and report performance based on strategies and business goals, identify areas that need improvement e.g., sales productivity reports
- Equip the Market MD to lead effectively in key internal and external executive meetings (i.e., messaging definition, storyboarding, communicating needs/gathering information, and organizing it in a compelling way).
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
- Relevant experience, including experience in management consulting , business planning & Program/Project Management.

- Proven track record of project/program leadership including leading global, cross-functional initiatives that impact the organization.
- Strong analytical thinking, analysis, problem solving skills, process orientation, and business acumen skills.
- High degree of flexibility and the ability to work within a fluid, constantly changing environment.
- Demonstrated experience proposing, creating, and managing executive-level proposals and presentations.
- Highly developed collaboration, relationship building, and communication skills.
- Ability to influence without authority and experience leading/navigating large cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to work with/influence across all levels and functions within the organization to achieve actionable results through others.
- Robust organizational skills and attention to detail and quality of deliverables; demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities (both long and short term) simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and influence skills, and group facilitation.
- Ability to communicate complex or abstract ideas clearly and succinctly.
