Assistant Digital Communications Officer

Summary Of The Position

- Picton location
- Temporary Part time, 18 hours per week for up to 6 months (maternity relief)
- Salary commencing from $834.33 per week + 12% Superannuation

An exciting opportunity awaits! We are on the lookout for a creative, driven and digitally savvy Assistant Digital Communications Officer to join our passionate team. The position is offered on a part time basis for up to six months. Reporting to the Strategic Communications Team Leader, you will play a key role in shaping and enhancing Council’s digital presence. From managing and optimising content for our website and intranet, to assisting with the creation of engaging campaigns and the implementation of digital solutions that connect with our community and create a great customer experience, you’ll help us make every digital interaction count.

To succeed in this position, you will meet the following criteria:

- Tertiary qualifications / currently undertaking study in Digital Communications/media or related, or a minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated experience with content manager systems (preferably Silverstripe) in updating and maintaining websites.
- Experience with SharePoint or collaborative digital platforms and Office 365 applications.
- Established skill in utilising email marketing platforms e.g. campaign Monitor, MailChimp
- Practical experience in creating and publishing content for digital channels (e.g. websites, digital screens, eDMs).
- Understanding of analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics) to monitor and report on digital performance.
- Understanding of digital accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1).
