Mental Health Clinician, Suicide Prevention Outreach Team – Tweed Valley
Location: Cudgen, New South Wales, Australia
The Suicide Prevention Outreach Team (SPOT) is a NSW Health initiative that aims to reduce deaths by suicide and suicide attempts. The team will engage people experiencing suicidal distress in the community setting with their existing supports, where secure to do so and work collaboratively and in conjunction with the other Towards Zero Suicides in Care initiatives in the local health district.
Employment Details
- Employment Type: Temporary Part Time (24 weeks)
- Position Classification: Clinical Nurse Specialist Gde 2, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist Lvl 3, Social Worker Lvl 3
- Remuneration: $80,452 - $117,755 per annum, pro rata - dependent on qualifications
- Hours Per Week: 30

Responsibilities
- Work in a team of two with a Peer Worker and provide holistic, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, evidence-based rapid crisis support to people experiencing suicidality.
- Provide crisis response with internal or external agencies when required.
