David Pfieffer Racing is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Trackwork Rider to join their professional racing secure at Warwick Farm. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing and developing our racehorses, ensuring they are fit, conditioned, and ready to perform at their best. Work Schedule
- Hours: 5:00am – 9:00am, 6 mornings per week
- Rides approximately 8–10 horses per morning
- Casual basis with flexibility
Key Responsibilities
- Riding and exercising horses in line with training instructions
- Assessing horse performance, fitness, and responsiveness during trackwork
- Providing accurate feedback to trainers on individual horses
- Assisting with training schedules and conditioning programs
- Maintaining the highest standards of horse welfare and safety
- Mentoring and guiding junior riders where required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a trackwork rider in a professional racing environment
- Strong riding ability and excellent horsemanship skills
- Clear communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to commit to early morning hours (5–9am) and a busy riding schedule
- A genuine passion for racing and equine care
