About The Role
As part of the Queensland Government's Student Wellbeing Workforce, we aim to ensure every Queensland state school student has access to a wellbeing professional. The focus of this role is to provide support for students with mild to moderate mental health concerns. Wellbeing professionals employed through the Student Wellbeing Workforce work as part of schools' established student support teams to enhance the wellbeing and mental health support available to students.

We are recruiting wellbeing professionals to work in state schools with vacancies in the Metropolitan North region.
We are seeking to fill various HP3 Psychologist permanent and temporary roles across primary and secondary state schools in the Metropolitan North region, with the possibility of extension.
You Will Offer Therapeutic Support To Students With Mild‑to‑moderate Mental Health Concerns Including:
- Provide qualified support and information for students, parents, carers and school communities that facilitate partnerships in decision making for the enhancement of all students' learning.
- Provide services such as counselling, assessment and intervention, focusing on students' mental health and wellbeing.
Your Responsibilities
- Undertake individual and group counselling and therapeutic interventions with students, parents and families to assist them in resolving personal or relationship concerns.
- Provide advice on diagnoses provided by external professionals and monitor students' progress.
- Administer specialised psycho‑educational assessment of students with learning and/or adjustment difficulties including assessments of cognitive, academic, behavioural, emotional, social and adaptive functioning.
