We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Manager to oversee daily operations for our specialty flower store, which features both fresh and dried floral arrangements. This role requires strong leadership and a passion for customer service and sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Store Operations: Manage daily retail activities, ensure the shop is aesthetically excellent, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Inventory & Product Management: Oversee the procurement, inventory, and management of fresh and dried flowers, plants, and retail merchandise, focusing on minimizing waste and maximizing display impact.
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, and motivate the sales and floral staff to ensure exceptional performance and a positive work environment.
- Sales & Profitability: Drive sales strategies to meet financial targets, manage the store budget, and handle daily POS transactions and reporting.
- Customer Experience:
Ensure all customers receive outstanding service and manage high-volume periods (holidays) efficiently.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience working directly within the floral industry (e.g., flower shop, market, wholesale environment).
- 1+ years of prior retail management experience, demonstrating successful team leadership and operational control.
- Knowledge of fresh flower care, conditioning, and handling, as well as merchandising techniques for dried arrangements.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
