Central Control Sheetmetal Pty Ltd (Trivantage Sheetmetal) is seeking a professional and quality focused First Class Welder to join their growing team.
An innovative and developing business, which is a leading Australian manufacturer of electrical switchboard with manufacturing facilities based in Thomastown, you'll play a pivotal role in welding electrical switchboards made from Aluminium, Stainless Steel or Zinc Coated Steel. This exciting opportunity is for day shift, hours are 7am-3pm. Looking for a highly motivated Welder, to become an integral part of the team.
Key Requirements:
- Switchboard welding experience would be ideal, however welding experience with 0.5 - 6.0mm mild steel, aluminium and stainless steel would be good.
- Be able to perform precision welding on steel, Stainless steels and aluminium using MIG and TIG and other advance welding techniques. MIG and TIG welding experience is a necessity.
- The ability to Sand and blend in a No 4 finish in Stainless Steel or Orbital Sand finish in Aluminium.
- Assess quality of weld and ensure that you are able finish welds to a high standard that meet strength, safety and appearance requirements.
- Able to read drawings is essential. Attention to finishing and dressing of welds to a quality presentation is significant. You must be able to communicate and receive verbal instruction, fill out daily production reports, etc...
- Experience with Safety and Quality Systems would be highly desirable, as would experience in Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP).
- Certificate III in Engineering - Welding and Fabrication Trade or Equivalent
- Minimum 5 year of work experience
