The Opportunity
We are seeking a Graduate Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate who is enthusiastic about construction and eager to develop their skills in a supportive and innovative environment. We are also open to candidates with more experience who bring the right attitude, discipline, and willingness to learn our unique estimating methods.
This position is perfect for someone looking to gain a solid understanding of how a residential construction business operates, as the role overlaps with financial tracking, variations, and elements of contract administration. It offers a well-rounded foundation for anyone wanting to build a strong career in construction management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects.
- Work closely with the construction management team to understand project requirements and deliver accurate estimates.
- Utilize our innovative estimating tools and methodologies to support project planning, pricing, and budgeting.
- Conduct financial tracking and accounting of construction projects.
- Collaborate with project teams and contribute estimating insights during planning and review meetings.
- Ensure all estimates are thorough, accurate, and aligned with our high standards.
Qualifications & Attributes
- A recent graduate in construction management, quantity surveying, civil engineering, or a related field (or someone with some experience looking to grow).
- Solid attention to detail, discipline, and a proactive, hardworking approach.
- Ability to show initiative and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Experience in RIB CostX or other digital takeoff and estimating platforms.
