The Role
- Report to the Clinical Operations Manager
- Lead a multidisciplinary health team in delivering high-quality, culturally safe healthcare.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, strengthen integrated care delivery, and build the capacity of Aboriginal Health Practitioners (AHPs) and Indigenous staff
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective primary healthcare services.
- Oversee clinical operations, planning, portfolio management, pharmacy and consumables.
- Manage health Center assets and resources to ensure smooth operations.
- Mentor, support, and train staff to deliver culturally safe healthcare.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve health outcomes.
- Participate in the emergency on-call roster and support after-hours responses.
- Foster an inclusive, supportive environment for both staff and patients.
Requirements for the role
- Registration with AHPRA as a General Nurse or Aboriginal Health Practitioner.
- Broad experience in comprehensive primary healthcare with advanced clinical skills to work effectively in remote settings.
- Commitment to the values of Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and respect for Aboriginal culture.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to supervise, mentor, and inspire diverse teams.
- Understanding of Aboriginal health issues, health inequality drivers, and NT health legislation (desirable)
- Resilience, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to achieving positive outcomes
