FP&A; Analyst - New Service Line

About Fullstack Advisory

Fullstack Advisory is Australia's leading startup accounting firm, providing expert financial guidance to high-growth businesses across ecommerce, tech, agencies and online businesses. We're a fully online practice that combines technical accounting expertise with a deep understanding of the unique challenges facing modern Australian startups.

The Opportunity

We're launching an FP&A; service line and looking for an experienced FP&A; Analyst to build it with us. This is a chance to shape a new offering from the ground up - and we're learning together what works best for our clients and our practice.

You'll be a senior member of our outsourced finance team (currently a Bookkeeping Manager and 6 bookkeepers), bringing strategic financial planning expertise to clients who need more than compliance and bookkeeping.

Unlike traditional firms where business development eats into your personal time, BD here happens during your regular 38-hour work week. Fullstack handles the marketing heavy-lifting - you'll convert warm leads, identify opportunities in our existing client base, and represent us at industry events/webinars.

What You'll Do

Business Development (significant initially, ongoing thereafter):

- Convert leads generated by Fullstack's marketing into FP&A; engagements
- Identify FP&A; opportunities within our existing client base
- Attend conferences, trade shows, and industry events during business hours
- Deliver webinars and in-person workshops on financial planning topics for startups
- Present the value of strategic financial planning to founders and executives
- Help us refine our FP&A; service offerings based on what clients actually need

Client Delivery:

- Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis for clients across ecommerce, tech, agencies, and other sectors
- Build and maintain cashflow forecasting models
- Develop management reporting packages that drive decision-making
- Partner with clients' leadership teams on scenario planning and strategic guidance
- Support fundraising rounds with investor-ready financial models
- Mentor bookkeeping team members as opportunities arise

What You'll Need

Essential:

- Proven FP&A; experience in tech, online, or ecommerce companies
- Comfortable presenting to groups - both online (webinars) and in-person (workshops)
- Strong communications ability with founders/executives
- Advanced Excel modeling skills and cashflow forecasting expertise
- Strong experience with Xero accounting software
- Ability to work with executives from different industries and adapt your approach
- Self-motivated and comfortable with ambiguity as we build this together
- Willingness to travel for client meetings in Sydney/other capital cities and industry events

Desirable:

- CA/CPA qualification or working towards
- Experience in consulting, advisory, or practice environment
- Previous experience delivering training or educational content
- Exposure to SaaS metrics, ecommerce KPIs, or agency financial models
- Network within the startup/tech community

What We Offer

- Senior role within our finance team with real autonomy
- Business development during regular business hours
- Fullstack's marketing support and existing client base to leverage
- Mostly remote work with flexibility
- Learn and shape a new service offering alongside the leadership team
- Conference attendance and professional development
- Supportive team workplace at an established firm
- Bonus on offer for helping meet portfolio growth targets.

The Reality Check

We're building this service line from scratch, which means you'll need patience and some hustle. Initial business development will be significant as you build the FP&A; portfolio. We'll be learning together around what particular clients need and how to best deliver it.

If you're looking for a fully loaded FP&A; role from day one, this isn't it. But if you're excited about building something new, enjoy presenting and teaching and like the idea of shaping a service offering, let's talk.
