Company Name: NT Respite Care Plus Job title: Disability Support Worker Job type: Full time & Permanent Location: 25 First Street, Katherine NT 0850 Salary: $66,000 - $72,000 + superannuation Working hours: 38 hours per week POSITION SUMMARY A Disability Support Worker (DSW) at this level works in a team to provide direct care assistance for the clients of the company.

The performance of this position is subject to general guidance by the immediate House Team Leader of the relevant program in which the Disability Support Worker is working. The employee is required to undertake a range of activities requiring the application of established work procedures and may exercise limited initiative and/or judgment within clearly established procedures and/or guidelines. KEY TASKS AND DUTIES

- Assisting in the development or implementation of client care plans or the planning, cooking or preparation of the full range of meals under limited supervision either individually or as part of a team.




- Implementing client skills and activities programmes under limited supervision either individually or as part of a team assisting in the development or implementation of client care plans.
- Assisting, supervising or performing a wide range of personal care services or activities including cleaning and other household tasks to clients under limited supervision either individually or as part of a team.
- Ensure that the service provided is in keeping with the Disability Service Standards and the policies and procedures of the organisation.

QUALIFICATIONS & MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

- Certificate III or above in Individual Support, Disability, or other relevant qualification.
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience in a disability sector
- NDIS Worker Orientation
- Current medication endorsement/training
- Unrestricted Driver's License
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- National Police Check
- Working with Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening
