Position Overview

The Residential Care Officer provides high-quality care and support to residents in a protected, respectful, and inclusive environment. This role involves assisting individuals—such as older adults or people with disabilities—living in residential facilities to maintain their dignity, independence, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

- Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Health & Safety Monitoring: Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional health; ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Medication Administration: Dispense prescribed medications accurately and maintain proper documentation.
- Emotional & Social Support: Foster a positive environment by encouraging social interaction and providing emotional support.
- Activity Engagement: Organize and participate in recreational and lifestyle activities to enhance residents’ quality of life.
- Care Planning: Assess residents’ needs and contribute to individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential records of care, incidents,



and progress reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care delivery.
- Compliance: Adhere to Sunhubs Care Services policies, aged care standards, and relevant legislation.

Qualifications:

- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent
- Experience in disability or aged care support preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Current First Aid, CPR, and relevant clearances
- Work Right: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Full Work Rights Holder

NOTE:

Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents will be preferred. Other applicants with full work rights can apply only if they meet the above criteria.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
