JobQuest is seeking motivated and capable individuals to join our team as Training and Placement Officers / Youth Consultants.
These roles suit recent graduates seeking to develop their career, as well as experienced professionals considering a career transition with a genuine interest in youth development. We are recruiting for full-time, part-time, and casual positions within our Penrith team.

Positions commence mid-January 2026.

Essential Requirements

- Demonstrated interest in working with young people.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, high-quality programs to groups of students.
- Flexibility to accommodate varying hours across multiple school sites (generally within school hours).
- Willingness to travel across our program delivery region (reimbursement for travel is provided)
- Strong rapport-building skills with young people, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
- Working With Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Proficient computer skills, with Google Suite experience preferred.
- Experience working with young people (formal or informal).
- Understanding of the local labour market and youth employment issues.
- Skills in supporting young people to build job-readiness and transition into work.




- Training and assessment qualifications are highly regarded, or willingness to undertake supported study.
- Full COVID-19 vaccination (including booster).
- Casual applicants must be available Mondays plus two additional days per week.

Reliability, punctuality, teamwork, and strong communication skills are essential.

Hourly rate: $30.57 – $45.59, based on experience, qualifications, and employment type (Labour Market Industry Assistance Award).
