About the Role
The Wall and Floor Tiler will be responsible for preparing surfaces and installing a wide range of tiles, including ceramic, porcelain, stone, and mosaic. Working from construction plans and design layouts, you will ensure that all installations are completed to a high standard, in accordance with Australian regulations and project specifications. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other trades on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and level surfaces for tiling using a variety of techniques and materials.
- Interpret architectural plans and layout designs for efficient and accurate tile placement.
- Measure, cut, and install tiles using manual and powered tools.
- Apply adhesives, grout, sealants, and protective coatings as required.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance to existing tiled surfaces.
- Adhere to Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards and environmental regulations on all job sites.
- Collaborate with project supervisors, team members, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and quality delivery.
- Maintain records of work performed,
including time on site and materials used.
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum of three years’ full-time experience as a qualified Wall and Floor Tiler following completion of training or apprenticeship.
- Demonstrated experience across a variety of settings including wet areas, kitchens, and outdoor surfaces.
- Proficiency in using tile levelling systems, wet saws, grinders, and other industry tools.
- Comprehensive understanding of Australian Standards for tiling and waterproofing (e.g., AS 3958.1, AS 3740).
- Strong knowledge of WHS requirements and commitment to safe work practices.
- Experience on residential, commercial, or large-scale construction projects is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $96,000.00 per year
