About the role
Headland Technology Pty Ltd, a leading provider of advanced automation solutions, is seeking a CNC Field Service Engineer to join our talented team. In this full-time role based in East Brisbane, QLD, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support and maintenance for our clients' CNC machinery.
What you'll be doing
- Performing on-site installations, maintenance, and repairs of CNC machines and related equipment
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex technical issues, implementing effective solutions
- Providing training and guidance to clients on the proper operation and care of their CNC systems
- Documenting all work performed and maintaining detailed service records
- Liaising with the engineering and sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance our service offerings
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a CNC Field Service Engineer or in a similar technical role
- Solid electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, with a solid understanding of CNC machine technology
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively liaise with clients
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
- Relevant technical certifications,
qualifications and/or experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
