Key Responsibilities
We have an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with 3 to 5 years’ experience post admission to join our well-established Commercial and Corporate team.
You will be mentored by a team of lawyers with a broad range of industry experience who undertake a diverse range of work.
Their clients are highly regarded companies and groups including family offices, boutique funds, software companies, national e-commerce platforms, global brands and transport and logistics companies
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate is someone who is personable and adept at dealing with a diverse range of clients from startups to SME’s to ASX-listed companies.
You will ideally have experience with the Corporations Act, Australian Consumer Law, the PPSR regime, sale of businesses,
share sale agreements with earn-out arrangements, complex shareholder agreements, partnership of trusts, employee share plans, company secretarial work and drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements.
Essential personal attributes for the role include excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
You must be commercially and results oriented, and capable of assessing a client’s risk appetite and developing novel approaches to complex commercial problems.
Strong commercial drafting and negotiation skills are required.
An interest in business development and marketing would be an asset and would be fostered if initiative is shown in this area
