About the role
We're looking for a practical, people-focused Property Maintenance Coordinator to join our growing team. This diverse role combines hands-on maintenance work with client coordination, property management, and tenant support. You'll be instrumental in ensuring our properties remain safe, functional, and welcoming for residents while managing maintenance activities across our portfolio.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Performing minor maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, and general repairs across our properties
- Coordinating tenant move-ins, including document handover, key collection, and training residents on home features
- Managing the installation of tenant-funded modifications such as ceiling hoists, door openers, and handrails
- Conducting routine safety inspections including fire sprinklers and generators (full training provided)
- Working closely with our Property Manager to prioritise and coordinate maintenance requests
- Liaising with external suppliers and tradespeople, assessing quotes and ensuring quality control
- Managing repair expenses efficiently to support business profitability
- Maintaining accurate records using property management and CRM systems
What we're looking for:
- Relevant qualification in residential building/construction OR 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the sector
- Practical skills in minor carpentry, painting, and general maintenance
- Experience assessing trade quotes and making sound value judgements
- Comfortable using property management systems and CRM software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience in asset maintenance, inspections, or property management is highly regarded
- A genuine interest in disability services and making a positive difference
