Are you a charismatic and enthusiastic individual wanting to join a friendly team?
Delmar Private Hospital is seeking to employ a casual Sandwich Hand to join their busy department. You will work in a team environment that strives to deliver outstanding healthcare to our patients.
As a valued Kitchen Hand, your responsibilities will include:
- Food Preparation - Sandwiches and wraps
- Maintaining a clean and tidy workplace for all food service-related areas of the hospital
- Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal tray
- Cleaning duties, including fridges and preparation areas, kitchen area, dish wash area
- Clean and maintain utensils and kitchen equipment in accordance with hospital & industry food safety and hygiene standards
- General cleaning and sanitising of all areas of food preparation areas.
Selection Criteria:
- Must have prior experience in Sandwiches and Wraps food preparation
- Knowledge of dietary restriction and allergies
- Minimum 2 years prior experience as Kitchen hand preparing sandwiches
- Prior experience in Healthcare Food Services as a kitchenhand/tray maid
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
- Ability to work autonomously, without supervision, as well as a part of a team
- Demonstrate a great work ethic and attention to detail
- Excellent time management & effective communication skills
- Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service
- Respectful and work well with others to achieve goals
- Act with integrity and show care for the people you work with
- Motivated by personal growth and accountability
- Flexible to work a variety of shifts – split shifts, morning/afternoon shifts & weekend work. You must be available for weekday shifts.
The successful applicant will require a minimum of Food Handling Certificate, Police Check as well as a valid Working with Children Check.
