About Department
The Brunswick Community Medical Centre, established for over 35 years, it was an integral part of MERRI (Moreland) Community Health Service until 2000 when it came under the management of St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. This Important initiative enabled the service to remain in the community where it has continued to thrive providing services to a diverse community.
About the Role
You will be providing nursing care in a community based General Practice setting in collaboration with the GP’s, offering support, vision and leadership to develop practice efficiencies. This role is also responsible to provide support to the manager and administrative staff as required.
Classifications for this position will range from Registered Nurse Grade 2 YP4 - YP11 ($70,818 - $89,902 per annum
Duties
- Nursing practice reflects a high level of skill and clinical knowledge
- Demonstrates highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- All care provided and correspondence is documented in the patient medical record as per St. Vincent’s policy/ practice policy
- Proactive involvement in patient health/disease management through care planning, case conferencing and health assessments.
- Act as Cold Chain coordinator for the practice ensuring compliance with the NHMRC guidelines
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Current Victorian Registration
- CPR
- Experience in Pathology Collection
- Minimum of 3 years post registration experience
- Experience and / or interest in General Practice and Community Health
