Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research is seeking expressions of interest for a 2-year fixed term contract for a highly motivated person to support the Jumbunna administration portfolio.

About the role
The Administration Officer leads and manages all administrative functions within the Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research. Including financial, physical resources, student and staff support services, and WH&S.; The Administration Officer contributes to effective external and internal relationships and ensures that Jumbunna complies with UTS policies and procedures. The position also manages the reception area of Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research's Students and Community Engagement and Learning Development portfolios.
This is an identified role pursuant to the exemption granted to UTS under s126 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW), we will only consider applications for this position from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates.

• Must be of Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander decent
• Experience in providing administrative functions across multidisciplinary teams
• Experience in creating and manipulating documents, spreadsheets and Powerpoint presentations
• Experience using electronic mail, multiple diary management and calendars
• Experience working with a diverse group of people within a demanding environment
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and a willingness to help others
• The ability to work accurately paying close attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to show professionalism and discretion and to work proactively
• Excellent organisational skills including the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and assist in implementing administrative processes
• The ability to contribute solutions to problems and assist in the maintenance of operational procedures
Base Salary Range: $66,033 - $70,630 pa (HEW 4)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 2 years.
