This role can be one position, two separate positions or a job share role at approximately 30-38 hours per week. 

We have an opportunity for full time or permanent part time work in a shared capacity with two separate businesses. Working days would be Monday-Friday, split between two locations with. Two days per week would be spent working from Gulgong. The other three days per week would be spent working from Mudgee. This position could alternatively be a permanent part time position for, whereby you work exclusively with one of the business locations.

The two local family businesses require day to day assistance with various tasks. The role for each business will vary slightly 

Roles includes, but is not limited to:

- filing (electronic and hard copy), data entry and document management

- typing and word processing

- managing accounts (reconciling incoming/outgoings), invoices, and orders

- billing clients and customers

- maintaining records and journals, including payroll

- answering calls and managing emails

- secretarial and executive support services

- spreadsheet upkeep, including regular reporting

- knowledge, or willingness to learn Xero and Quickbooks

- Willingness to undertake a police check

About you:

As you are the go-to for all our customer accounts, we are looking for people with friendly personalities, especially on the phone. You will be expected to work independently with initiative, with guidance from the business owners. 

You will bring:

- A friendly, welcoming personality with a willingness to learn and adapt

- High level of written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work within a team or independently 

- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite 

- Good time management, multitasking and prioritisation skills

- Strong attention to detail

- System orientated, including ability to develop and implement your workflow and processes

- Accountability and ownership to your role and the people you work with

- Little bit of a control freak (you like to be the reliable cog in the system)


Both businesses shut down for two weeks over the Christmas period, which would be expected annual leave for you, too. The other periods of leave would of course be up to you.
