People & Culture Manager



Cochlear (ASX: COH) is an iconic Australian company, seminomas for over 35 years with innovation and class leading technology development in implantable hearing solutions. Operating with an Australian remit, we are seeking an experienced People and Culture professional with a passion for Employee Relations to join our Sydney-based function.



About the role



The people and Culture Manager will collaborate with business partners and other centres of expertise to contribute to the delivery of our global people strategy and operational plan. With a focus on Employee Relations, you will work closely with business leaders to advise, coach and challenge,

to ensure our people policies and processes are used effectively to deliver outstanding talent and performance outcomes.



Central to your success will be your ability to conduct objective investigations and resolve complex employment relations cases in line with Cochlear behaviours, fitness for work issues along with performance and conduct policies. You will use date to gain insight, identify trends and inform where to prioritise effort to minimise risk.



Acting as a point of issue escalation, you will offer development, mentoring and technical leadership of a small team of Employee Relations Advisors and provide input to Employee Relations policy owners to continuously evolve, simplify and educate our broader business leaders on best practice employee relations initiatives.    



About You



Degree qualified in Business, Law, Psychology or Workplace Relations, you have proven experience in Human Resources, working across the entire employee lifecycle with an Employment Relations focus. With exceptional EQ, you are a natural communicator, capable of coaching and leading people.



You value and invest in relationships across the organisation and can share achievements made in complex matrixed / global organisations. A strategic mindset, you have strong planning and execution capability and relish the opportunity to contribute to the development of best in class People and Culture practice’s.
