About the role
The Mine Services Operator role is responsible for the dewatering of the open pit to ensure production targets are safely achieved. Key result areas in this role include:
- Managing,
installing and monitoring dewatering infrastructure including pumps and pipelines
- Work closely with the maintenance department to ensure mechanical repairs, servicing or modifications to equipment is carried out in a timely manner
- Operate production machinery as directed by Mine Service Leading Hand
- Assist in the management of signage/delineation in the mining area
About our Operation
Our Cowal gold operation is an Evolution Mining cornerstone asset and is located 40km North East of West Wyalong in NSW. The site is predominantly residential, meaning almost all our 400 site employees return to their own home each night rather than to a camp. West Wyalong has many schools, restaurants and sporting teams and is close to several regional centres. Our rosters are designed to help you create a work-life balance and our recent life of mine plans currently extend to 2032, offering increased job security.
About you
To be successful in the Mine Services Operator role you will be a mechanically minded, self-motivated individual with previous experience in a similar role. It is also important that you have/ can demonstrate:
- Commitment to maintaining our safety standards
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous production excavator and/or dozer experience in an open cut operation
- Crane and Dogman Ticket desirable
- Poly Welding Ticket highly desirable
